3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information You Provide

When you register for an account, we collect:

• Name: To personalize your experience and to identify you on public leaderboards
• Email Address: For account authentication and communication
• Password: Stored securely using industry-standard encryption (hashed and salted)
• Country: To provide localized content and comply with regional regulations
• Language Preference: To display content in your preferred language
• Last Login Timestamp: The date and time of your most recent successful login, automatically recorded for security and account management purposes

3.2 Game & Quiz Data

When you participate in quizzes and challenges, we collect:

• Game Progress: Which question you have reached and whether a step is in progress, completed, or abandoned
• Your Answers: The answer you selected for each question, whether it was correct, and how long it took
• Quiz Results: Number of correct and incorrect answers and the score awarded
• Participation Timestamps: When you started, played, and completed each game
• Game History: Records of games and challenges you have played

3.3 Progress, Rewards and Virtual Items

The app is a game with progression and in-game rewards. To run it we store:

• Player Stats: Your experience points, level, coin balance, and hearts (lives)
• Inventory: Which in-game abilities you own and how many of each
• Reward History: A record of every change to your coins, hearts, experience, and abilities, including the reason for the change (for example a daily login reward, a level-up, a purchase, or a watched ad). We keep this so balances can be audited and disputes resolved
• In-Game Purchases: Items you buy in the shop. These are paid for with in-game coins only. We do not sell coins for money, and we never collect or process payment card details

3.4 Leaderboard Data

The app includes competitive leaderboards. To display them we store and show:

• Scores and Ranks: Your score for each challenge and your all-time total across challenges
• Public Display: Your name and score are visible to other players in the app on challenge leaderboards, period leaderboards, and the global all-time leaderboard. Your email address is never shown
• Live Scores: While a challenge is running, your score is updated in near real time so rankings stay current

3.5 Rewarded Advertising Data

The app offers optional rewarded ads. You are never required to watch one. When you choose to watch an ad, we store on our servers:

• Reward Records: Which ad placement you watched, when you watched it, and what reward you received
• Limit Tracking: How many rewarded ads you have watched in the current time window, so the daily limit can be enforced
• Failed Claims: If a reward cannot be granted, we log the failure so we can investigate and correct your balance
• Note: The advertisement itself is served by Google AdMob. What Google collects is described in section 8

3.6 Feedback Data

When you submit feedback in the app, we collect:

• Feedback Type: The category of your feedback (bug report, suggestion, or general feedback)
• Message Content: The text of your feedback or suggestion
• User Account: Your user ID is linked to identify who submitted the feedback for our reference and improvement purposes
• Submission Timestamp: Date and time when you submitted your feedback

3.7 Contact Form and Inquiry Data

When you submit inquiries through the contact form on our website, we collect:

• Name: Your name as provided in the inquiry form
• Email Address: Your email address so we can respond to your inquiry
• Subject: The subject line of your inquiry
• Message Content: The full text of your message or question
• Submission Timestamp: Date and time when you submitted the inquiry

3.8 Device and Technical Data

Some technical data is unavoidable when an app talks to a server, and some is collected by the Google AdMob advertising software built into the app:

• Advertising ID: Google AdMob uses your Android Advertising ID and device information to serve and measure ads. This identifier is controlled by you in your device settings, where it can be reset or deleted (see section 6)
• Server Logs: Our hosting provider records standard technical information for each request, such as IP address, timestamp, and the requested address, for security and abuse prevention
• Performance Diagnostics: We may temporarily record which app screens call our servers, how long each request took, and the account ID associated with it, purely to find and fix performance problems. This logging is disabled by default and is switched on only during active investigation
• No Precise Location: The app does not request GPS or location permissions and we do not collect your precise location. Advertising may still be broadly regionalized by Google based on network information
• No Contacts, Photos, or Microphone: The app does not request access to your contacts, photos, files, camera, or microphone

4. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

• Service Provision: To create and manage your account, track your quiz progress, and display your results
• Game Operation: To award and track experience, coins, hearts, and abilities, to run the in-game shop, and to keep your balances correct
• Leaderboards: To rank players and display names and scores to other players in the app
• Personalization: To show content in your preferred language and provide country-specific features
• Advertising: To show optional rewarded ads, grant the reward you earned, and enforce daily limits
• Communication: To send you important account notifications, password resets, email verifications, and responses to your inquiries
• Feedback: To review the feedback you send us and identify areas for improvement
• Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Security: To protect against fraud, abuse, cheating, and unauthorized access
• Legal Compliance: To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms of service

5. Legal Basis for Processing

We process your personal data based on:

• Contractual Necessity: Processing necessary to provide our quiz services, including your account, game progress, rewards, and leaderboard placement
• Consent: For optional features such as watching rewarded ads, personalized advertising where applicable, push notifications, and feedback collection
• Legitimate Interests: For customer support, security and anti-cheating measures, and service improvement, balanced against your privacy rights
• Legal Obligations: To comply with applicable laws and preserve records of inquiries

6. Cookies, App Storage and Advertising Identifiers

The Quiz Per Day Football app is a mobile app, not a website, and it does not use cookies. This section explains what is stored where.

6.1 Storage Inside the App

The app stores a small amount of data in your device's protected storage:

• Login Token: When you log in, the server issues an access token which the app keeps in the device's encrypted secure storage. It is sent with each request instead of a session cookie. It stays valid until you log out or we revoke it
• App Settings: Your preferences, such as sound settings, are stored on your device
• Removal: Logging out deletes the token from your device and invalidates it on our servers. Uninstalling the app removes everything stored on the device

6.2 Cookies on This Website

This website exists for information pages such as this policy, the terms, the contact form, and account deletion. It does not run advertising or analytics scripts and sets no tracking cookies. The only cookies are:

• Session and Security Cookies: Strictly necessary cookies used to keep the contact and account deletion forms secure, and to keep our staff signed in to the private administration area. They are essential for these pages to work and are not used to track you

6.3 Advertising Identifiers

Instead of cookies, mobile advertising uses a device identifier:

• Android Advertising ID: A resettable identifier assigned by your device, used by Google AdMob to serve, measure, and cap the frequency of ads
• Your Control: You can reset or delete this identifier at any time in your Android settings, usually under Settings, then Google, then Ads (the exact path varies by device). Deleting it stops advertisers from tying ad activity to a single identifier

7. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Other Players: Your name and scores are shown publicly inside the app on leaderboards. Do not use a name you would prefer other players not to see; you can change your name in your account settings at any time
• Google AdMob: When you choose to watch a rewarded ad, Google receives your advertising ID and device and network information in order to select and measure that ad. We do not send Google your name, email address, or quiz answers
• Service Providers: With trusted third-party providers who host our servers and databases and deliver our email, under strict confidentiality agreements
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or government regulation
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you will be notified beforehand)
• Protection of Rights: To protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property, and that of our users or the public

8. Advertising & Google AdMob

Quiz Per Day Football is supported by advertising delivered through Google AdMob. Ads in the app are rewarded ads only: you are shown an offer, and only if you choose to watch does an ad play and a reward get granted. There are no banner or pop-up ads, and declining an ad never blocks your gameplay.

• How Advertising Works: The Google AdMob software built into the app requests an ad from Google when you choose to watch one. To do this, Google receives your advertising ID together with device, app, and network information, and may use it to select ads, measure their performance, and limit how often you see the same ad
• Personalized Ads: Depending on your device settings and your region, ads may be personalized based on data Google holds about you from your use of Google services and other apps. If you opt out of ad personalization on your device, you will still see ads, but they will not be tailored to your interests
• What We Do Not Share: We do not send advertisers your name, email address, quiz answers, or leaderboard position. Our own record of a watched ad is limited to the placement, the time, and the reward granted
• Your Privacy Choices: You can reset or delete your advertising ID and turn off ad personalization in your Android device settings, and you can manage ad settings for your Google Account at Google Ads Settings. You can also choose never to watch a rewarded ad; the app remains fully playable without them
• Google's Privacy Policy: Google's handling of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy and the description of how Google uses data from apps that use its services

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations:

• Account Data: Retained while your account is active. When you delete your account, it is deleted immediately and permanently; we do not keep a recovery copy
• Quiz Results & Game History: Retained while your account is active, and deleted with your account
• Rewards, Balances, and Reward History: Retained while your account is active, and deleted with your account
• Leaderboard Entries: Retained while your account is active. Deleting your account removes your entries, and your name disappears from leaderboards
• Rewarded Ad Records: Retained while your account is active for limit enforcement and dispute resolution, and deleted with your account
• Feedback: Retained for service improvement purposes and deleted with your account; you can also request deletion of your feedback at any time
• Contact Form Inquiries: Retained for record-keeping, customer support history, and dispute resolution purposes. Because they are submitted from the website and are not tied to an account, they are not removed by deleting your account; contact us if you want an inquiry deleted
• Login Tokens: Access tokens remain valid until you log out or delete your account, at which point they are revoked immediately. Password reset codes expire shortly after they are issued and are pruned automatically
• Technical Logs: Server and diagnostic logs are kept only for a short operational period and are not used to build a profile of you

10. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correct your data: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Delete your data: Delete your account and its data yourself, either in the app's account settings or on our account deletion page
• Export your data: Request your data in a portable format
• Object or withdraw consent: Stop watching rewarded ads at any time, reset or delete your advertising ID, and withdraw any consent you have given, without losing access to the game
• Complain: Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority if you believe we have handled your data unlawfully

11. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data:

• Encryption: Passwords are hashed using bcrypt; all traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS
• On-Device Protection: Your login token is held in the device's encrypted secure storage, protected by the operating system
• Access Controls: Strict access controls limiting who can access personal data
• Security Monitoring: Regular security assessments and monitoring

12. Children's Privacy

Quiz Per Day Football is a general audience app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you are in the European Economic Area and are below the age at which you can consent on your own (between 13 and 16 depending on your country), you should use the app only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal data that should not be retained, please contact us and we will remove it.
